Kate Moss for British Vogue December 2014

The Christmas issue of British Vogue is dedicated to Kate Moss, in her 40th year. Kate is of course also now a contributing fashion editor to British Vogue.
.
I love this video of Kate's sit down with contributing Editor Kate Phelan as they flip through the mag over a cup of tea.

The men in Kate's life are also featured in this issue,  a shoot by David Bailey. Check out this vid:

I can't wait to check out the 'Kate's World' feature, where she showcases her favourite things including photographers, friends and conspirators in a cast of 40 including Cara Delevingne, Suki Waterhouse, Lottie Moss, Beth Ditto and Theodora Richards.

Kate has shot an editorial with longtime collaborators photographer Mario Testino,  stylist Lucinda Chambers, hair stylist Sam McKnight & makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury. The shoot highlights her favorite & most iconic 'looks', including (and these are my descriptions)  2 portraits used for 2 different covers (Bardot chanteuse and natural beauty), Vamp, Disco-diva, Showgirl, Boho Glasto Babe, French Chic and, of course, grungy Rock-Chick.

Kate - Feathers will Fly

Kate photographed by Mario Testino & styled by Lucinda Chambers for the May 2013 issue of Vogue UK. Donning Haute Couture pieces by Jean Paul Gaultier, Dior and Versace, this editorial is called Feathers will Fly. This is Kate at her high fashion, sultry best!

Kate & George 2012

I adore Kate. I adore George. Love this editorial from Vogue Paris! Kate stars in George's latest single White Light - pay back resulting from Kate's disappointment about being excluded from his Freedom 90 video from 1990 that starred the supers back in the day - Linda, Cindy, Naomi, Christy and Tatjana.

George later told Magic FM that he chose Kate for his video because she reminded him of his late mum, who the singer was extremely close to. "Every boy who has lost their mum thinks his mum was the most beautiful woman in the world. Why not ask someone who is considered the most beautiful woman in the world in many ways to be that figure?" Mario Testino captured the twosome for Vogue Paris, October 2012.

Tom Ford: Gucci 1990's Gold

This is one of my favourite eras in fashion. Tom Ford took the reins at Gucci as Creative Director in 1994 and as such, he transformed the verging on bankrupt, staid Italian fashion house into a sexy, stylish, edgy and much coveted brand. The equestrian style & conservative Gucci Tweeds and red & green trims were joined by super sexy Haltson-esque designs such as velvet hipsters, skin tight satin shirts, slinky bias cut gowns slashed to the naval and pour-yourself-in tailored cigarette pants, accessorized with sky high heels and metal buckles and belts.

Kate Moss, Gucci Show S/S 1996 - More on this show HERE
Between 1995 and 1996, Gucci sales increased by 90%. In 1995. Ford brought Carine Roitfeld (the future Editor of French Vogue) and Mario Testino (Kate Moss's bestie & popular fashion photographer) into the Gucci fold to style and shoot the campaigns, resulting in some of the most smoldering, sexy and sometimes subversive advertising campaigns fashion had ever seen. (The add of a man shaving a model's pubic hair into a Gucci G was particularly sacndalous). Models Amber Valetta, Georgina Grenville and Kate Moss brought the sexy, and how. Below are some of my favorite Gucci campaigns from this era.
