Boobs - The New Black 2013

It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month and quite coincidentally, boobs are everywhere! Gaping bazers sans bra, shirts slashed to the sternum & large expanses of decolletage are hot this Fall. Claire Danes went sheer & super low at the Emmys. Buxom Kim K and Miranda Kerr both went for OTT eye-popping cleavage at Paris Fashion Week. I love these shots from Hedi Slimane for Saint Laurent Pre-Fall 2014, reminiscent of Tom Ford's early Gucci cigarette pants & satin shirt looks .

The no-bra + blazer seems to also be the look du jour. I love a good black blazer, but when it comes to the bra or no bra look underneath I do think only those with petite frames & smaller busts (a la Kate Moss or Cara Delevingne) can carry it off. But it is a real high fashion or red carpet look - not for your usual night on the town. Having said that - Cara seems to have carried it off just wandering home from a night on the town in bra and jacket, below.

Tom Ford never seems to set a foot wrong with his finger firmly on the pulse of the fashion zeitgeist - I'm in love with electric blue, zebra print & large leopard print right now! Gwyneth does it again

Forget Gaga in the egg - the outfit of the night for me was fabulous Gwyneth in a Stella McCartney jumpsuit reminiscent of the YSL Le Smoking tuxedo jacket, hot pink earrings and neon bright Louboutins - fashion gold! I have to say, Gwyneth never fails to disappoint me with her sartorial choices.
I love the bright injection of accessories with a super slick and sexy black outfit - I have been searching for long, drapey feather earrings all Summer! Boo - oh well, knowing NZ they'll come around for 2012 Summer.

Shades of Grey for Iron Man 2

Grey is HOT for Winter, and thank God. It's is one of my wardrobe basics & faves! I just saw the pics of Iron Man 2 premiere under a headline pointing out that the two female stars Gwynnie and ScarJo both wore grey - & they both look FANTASTIC! Funnily enough, on inspection, both are wearing two of my fave designers.


Gwyneth is in Victoria Beckham's zip back dress in a beautiful deep smoke-grey. I LOVE the colour, but do prefer it on J.Lo though, you def. need a more back (ie. a bum) to carry off this dress!

Scarlett is in dove grey, wearing one of VB's inspirations, Roland Mouret.


Loving Rouland Mouret's Pigalle Wool dress. Look at all my faves wearing it - J.Lo, Dita, Beyonce...grey rocks.


Very excited about Iron Man 2. I love Downey.
