Gigi Hadid for Vogue Spain, March 2015
As mentioned in my previous post, Boho is back in a big way in 2015. I never thought I was into boho, as it aways brought images of ponchos, patchouli & hippies to mind. However, having coveted a lot of Kate Moss and Sienna Miller's noughties boho style there are definite aspects of the boho look that I do love. Boho traverses a huge array of looks, from Biba paisley maxi dresses and fringed, flower-power Haight Astbury hippy look to Talitha Getty in printed kaftans circa Morocco 1970s and 'Almost Famous' style shearling coats, tassled leather and denim rock 70's rock-chick vibe. I do love the grungey, rock side of boho - fitted button-down print maxi dresses, suede boots, waist coats, skinny scarves, shearling gilets, fake fur coats, long tasseled necklaces, tea dresses & white lace.

Kate Hudson as 'Penny Lane' in Almost Famous
Kate Moss'es style fans helped her secure her first Topshop line in 2007, which was heavily influenced by boho vintage finds from her own wardrobe. At the time Sienna Miller was roundly criticized for 'copying' Kate's style when she launched onto the scene in the mid noughties. "I hate the word boho so much now!" Sienna says now. "I suppose I am inherently bohemian in terms of the way I am as a person, and I definitely went through a hippie phase with my style. But I think it's really more about the way my personality is, than the way I dress. Now that I'm a bit older I do appreciate tailoring much more than I used to, but my personality is still very laid-back. Even when I put on a power suit I still look like a hippie, so I suppose it's true." Sienna Miller, Vogue 2012.
Sienna circa 2005 & Kate 2011
Over 10 years later, Sienna still dresses in a distinctly boho style, and this is celebrated in an editorial she shot with Mario Testino for American Vogue just this past February (see below). Kate is also still rocking the look, boho slash rock chick, and her boho sensibilities continue to appear in her current Topshop lines. Plenty of other celebs are also known for their boho style, including Kate Hudson, Kate Bosworth, Mary Kate Olsen, Nicole Richie and Rachel Zoe, so they will be particularly pleased to see that the latest crop of Spring/Summer and amp;Pre-Fall shows were saturated in boho chic. Flicking through the latest glossy editorials from 2015, boho is everywhere! Take a look below for a selection of the latest.
