Dolce and Gabbana Corsets

 

These bustiers from last year's Dolce and Gabbana's Spring 2012 line (above & below) totally remind me of their corsets from the Pin Up range, Fall Winter 1991. "Since its debut in 1989, Dolce & Gabbana's corset dress has come to define the sensuality of the brand. Stefano Gabbana calls corsets the collection's "heart and inspiration." (from Time.com)

I spotted this (above) multicolored bejeweled version on Eva Mendes on the cover of Marie Claire magazine, in the background of an episode of project Runway Season 10, and thought it looked very familiar! 

Very similar to the one Madonna wore to her Truth & Dare premiere in New York in 1991, and modelled on the catwalk by Naomi Campbell.  They also remind me of the iconic image of Cindy C in the black lace Dolce & Gabbana corset with the red rose on the catwalk in 1992. Here they are, with more of those iconic Dolce & Gabbana corsets from the early 90's, which the (original!) Supermodels wore so well.
