All that Glitters

Lately I have noticed a distinct Studio 54 feel about when flicking through my latest fashion mags and watching the awards season red carpet. Having just returned from Sydney, I delighted in the fact that stores were awash with lamé, sequins and glittery numbers. I love lamé trousers. I bought a pair of bronze ones at Miss Selfridge in London in 1998 and wore them do death, with my chunky Converse trainers out clubbing all over Soho. 

 They look almost identical to these new glittery drainpipe trousers at Alexander Wang.

 

I also love these sequined Isabel Marant pants on Jessica Hart at New York fashion week, paired with that beautiful Balmain fur jacket I've had my eye on! These fabulous sequined numbers have had a few outings on celebs lately, and there are loads of gorgeous shiny sequined and lamé pants about this season.here are a few of my faves below:
