Queen Victoria

I love Victoria Beckham - always have, since her Posh Spice days! I love these pics of her below, reminding me of when I lived in London in 1997-1999. I always thought she was the coolest, sassiest, styliest Spice Girl. I saw her in Harrods once, when I was working there as a sales girl on the 4th floor. I saw a lithe apparition out of the corner of my eye, striding up the aisle in black leggings black bob & black Tee emblazoned with 'POSH BABE'. At first I thought "Who the hell would wear that Tee?" Then I recognized her - it was THE Posh Babe, looking amazing and very pretty in minimum make-up, shopping with her Mum.

I think VB's fashion range is stunning. The cut, the lines and the style is immaculate, as I've blogged in the past here (- which was 2nd Blog post ever!) I'd wear almost every piece. "I really had to prove myself, though," admits Victoria. "Internal corsetry is very important to me. It’s something I’ll continue through each collection. It’s a reminder of posture. I have quite old-fashioned values with my dresses,” she says with a wry smile. “When people wear my dresses, I think they sit up straighter. "...now I feel like I am competing in an arena where I belong." In fact, her new dress line has been well received by fashion critics, many of whom were surprised to see Victoria at the press appointments, personally explaining corsetry, belting, and boning. "I was so nervous," she remembers, "because this has been a lifetime in the making". (from Harper's Bazaar).

It's great to see her all over the media rocking her range in 2012. Enough about criticizing her and calling her miserable - as she put so brilliantly in in her defense a few weeks ago: "Look, if people want to say I'm miserable then so be it. I'm really not. I have a lot on my plate. I'm not going to lie about it, I'm tired. I'm really tired but I'm also very happy with my life.I'm basically just like any woman who's working and has lots of children - it's tough. I'm not getting much sleep at all. Harper's not sleeping that great, and I've been taking Skype business calls throughout the night too because of the collections. I'm up with the baby as all mums are and I wouldn't have it any other way. And then people want to say I look crap. Well, I'm a working mum, so give me a break ... I'd like there to be a break but I very much doubt it's going to happen any time soon. When Harper sleeps that will be my break." Good on you VB!
