I'm loving Aussie model Abbey Lee Kershaw and have enjoyed watching her go from strength to strength. In a sea of clones there is something quirky and different about her that makes her stand out from the crowd. As a kid she was a tomboy, who broke several bones from climbing trees, and endured two spinal taps. She started off as a nose-pierced, wide-eyed urchin from Oz and has morphed into a Gucci Glamazon, yet is still quite the chameleon.

The intensity must have been daunting and she had a few tumbles, tripping in uber high heels at Rodarte and at Alexander McQueen she fainted due to her tight corset. For Milan Fashion Week she was booked exclusively for Gucci.

In 2009 she was featured in French mag Purple Fashion in a scandalized shoot by Terry Richardson which featured Abbey defended Terry. “Terry doesn’t force girls to do anything they don’t want to. He puts you in a g-string in a pile of mud because you want to do it." Despite the drama that follows him, you can't deny he is he is a talented photographer. Last year she featured in the Pirelli Calendar in 2010 a Richardson shot. In another interview she explains "I find nudity quite imperative to the expression of fashion. I'm quite comfortable with saying no, so I don't think I've done anything too outrageous."

With her shocking platinum hair she reminds me of my fave, Nadja Auermann. Among my favourite shots of Abbey-Lee are by Hedi Slimane. I love his work, always edgy and cool.

I love Abbey Lee as she is so versatile. She can go from Boho Surfer chick to hippy ingenue, edgy street grunge to glossy glam. Here are a few more favourite shots.

With her icy blonde locks, she is reminiscent of Amber Valetta in these fabulous shots by Numero magazine 2011.

wow she is so versatile. its pretty amazing how many different looks she can pull off.
